John Hargesheimer - President
Mr. Hargesheimer owns and manages an environmental engineering and industrial hygiene consulting firm, NORTECH. John is an active community volunteer and has been appointed to several local and state advisory positions and served on the Board of Directors of The Alaska Science and Technology Foundation and The Alaska Manufacturer's Association. John has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Carol H. Brice Family Center since 2005.
David Lanning - Vice President
Mr. Lanning is a Civil/Structural Engineer and is the owner of Lanning Engineering. He has served on the Board of Directors for North Country Credit Union (1998-2001) and was a member of the Platting Board for the Fairbanks North Star Borough (2000-2001). His affiliations include: the American Society of Civil Engineers, Member and past President of the Fairbanks branch of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Member and current President of the Alaska Society of Professional Engineers, Tau Beta Pi(an engineering honor society), and the American Institute of Steel Construction, Professional Member.
Monte L. Jordan - Secretary
Ms. Jordan has been a board member since February of 2002. A retired, State of Alaska, Department of Labor emplyee, she occasionally works as a consultant for local attornies on cases involving Alaska Wage and Hour Law and Fair Labor Standards Act. Her current community affiliations include: Casa's for Children Board (statewide board) as one of two Fairbanks board members, Fairbanks Sunrisers Rotary, Fairbanks North Star Borough Salaries and Emollients Commission, North Star Youth Mediation Corps - Volunteer Adult Mediator, Alaska State Court/Fairbanks-Small Claims Court - Volunteer Mediator, Equinox Kids Marathan, high school track and field volunteer, and Mush For Kids as their volunteer coordinator.
Todd Henderson - Treasurer
Mr. Henderson is employed as the Office Manager for Brice, Inc. He is a community volunteer as a coach for The Arctic Lions Hockey Association and The Fairbanks Soccer Association. He is also affiliated with the UAF Hockey Alumni Association and the UAF Alumni Association.
Brad Clark - Member
Brad Clark has been on the Board since 2003. He moved to Fairbanks in 1982 to attend the University of Alaska. Brad has contributed his experience in facilities management gained from his work for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and Johnson River Enterprises. He is currently employed by Fairbanks Memorial Hospital as a medical staff recruiter. He loves Fairbanks' eclectic composition and enjoys running, cross-country skiing, yoga, and landscaping.
Ben Roth - Member
Ben Roth has been on the Board of Directors since 2008. He is a principal in SBS Retirement Consultants, LLC, and holds degrees in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He is very active in the community, serving as an investment manager for the UAF Alumni Association, and is a member of the UAF Alumni Hockey Association.
Darryl Lewis, Sr. - Member
Darryl Lewis joined the Board of the CBFC in January of 2009. He holds degrees in journalism from Antelope Valley College and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. A member of the NAACP, Mr. Lewis has also served on the Boards of the Interior Center for Non-violent Living, the North Star Youth Court, and the Farthest North Girl Scouts. He has worked for numerous human service agencies, including the Fairbanks Community Behavioral Health Center, where he has been employed since 1990. He is also a well-known reporter, news anchor, and Director at KTVF Channel 11.
Jim Carter - Member
Mr. Carter is Vice-President for lending at Spirit of Alaska Credit Union. He has a degree in accounting from The University of Alaska Fairbanks and has a long history of community involvement, including Fairbanks Interior Neighborhood Housing, the Kenai Peninsula College Advisory Board, and the Kenai Economic Development District. He has been on the CBFC's Board since the winter of 2009.
Patty Mongold - Member
Patty Mongold joined the Board in the spring of 2009. She is currently a senior Vice-President and the Chief Operating Officer at Mt. McKinley Bank, where she has been employed since 1976. She is a member of Sunrisers Rotary Club and the Fairbanks Pioneers Home Foundation. She is on the local Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and co-chaired the Fairbanks United Way campaign in 2000.

Carol H. Brice
The founder of The Carol H. Brice Family Center, Mrs. Brice has a long history of community service in Alaska. Her professional experience includes her own business, Family Training Associates, in addition to work with the Alaska Foster Parent Training Center, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Tanana Valley Campus, KAYY Radio, and The Fairbanks Daily News Miner. She has also been involved since 1978 with the Fairbanks Child Protection Task Force, Inc., and was a co-founder of both The Resource Center for Parents and Children and the Fairbanks Head Start program. She has also been involved with the Fairbanks North Star Borough Early Child Development Commission, a Trustee and Chair of the Alaska Children's Trust Board and numerous other non-profit groups advocating on behalf of children and families. For her lifetime of work advocating for children Mrs. Brice has received numerous honors and awards of distinction.
Valerie Demming
Ms. Demming is an Honorary Board member of The Carol H. Brice Family Center. She is an original founder of The Foundation for Parents and Children. She is a past President of The Foundation for Parents and Children and now lives in Anchorage.
Tara Bellion
Ms. Bellion is a community volunteer with a professional background in environmental consulting for URS Corporation. She has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2002. In addition to her work for The Carol H. Brice Family Center, she is actively involved with the local Parent Teachers Association and a member of Calypso Farm and Ecology Center's Core Shareholders group.
Cullen Wallace
Mr. Wallace is a realtor with Wallace, Wallace and Wakefield Associates. He is an active local youth hockey coach and President of the Alaska State Hockey Association. In addition, he is the Federal Political Coordinator for Senator Lisa Murkowski. Mr. Wallace also sits on The United Way's Compass Steering Committee. He is the past President of the Alaska Association of Realtors - Fairbanks and has served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club. He has been associated with The Carol H. Brice Family Center since 2003.
